We’re Not All Wired Here

Our internet comes from some sort of tower relay system. I’m not sure how it all works but we all have little mini satellite dishes stuck on trees near our houses, and the reception is shitty when it rains. The connection I am not ashamed to admit has been a life line not just for work and entertainment but Google makes the trials of homesteading a whole lot easier. I still meet people here though who don’t have an email, get their gardening tips from store chatter and find their entertainment at the library, the forest and friend’s house.

Simple living and loving it, I steward a hand tended, bike powered piece of land on a remote west coast island. When my hands are not in the soil I make music, take pictures and blog about media and country-living on TLV.
